There would be no Sunnyside Parents’ Club without the hard work, commitment, and dedication of numerous volunteers. Dozens of people give their time to organize and support our activities throughout the year. Whether acting as chair or co-chair of an event or program, volunteering to work during an activity, or donating items needed to make an event a success, we wouldn’t be able to support Sunnyside the way we do without the effort of many.

Hospitality
Chairperson: Cory Bracy
Purchase birthday cards for faculty and staff, plan and host the Back to School and the Staff Appreciation Day Lunches.
Book-It
Chairperson: Holly Rucker
Order and stock prizes, deliver the prizes via the Book-It Wagon on a weekly basis.
Fall Carnival
Chairpersons: Nichole Reaksecker (booths & games), Jodi Delia (food)
Coordinate annual Fall Carnival, including: assign game booths to classrooms, sell tickets to this event, publicize, set up booths, order prizes, purchase food and drinks, set up food/drink area, clean up after event.
Family FUNdraisers
Chairperson: Julie Piper
Coordinate 3-4 “restaurant nights” at family restaurants.
Newsletter
Chairperson: Kris Prince
Acquire news articles from committee chairs, principal, staff members, etc. Publish newsletter 4-5 times per year.
Spring Dance
Chairpersons: Christina Glick, Dolly Engen
Choose a theme, order and oversee food and service, publicize the event, and sell tickets.
Camp Out
Chairperson: Sunny Bane
Establish date, coordinate food for dinner and breakfast, select family movie and/or other activities. Publicize and sell tickets for this event.
Book Fair
Chairpersons: Susan Cole, Andrea Krautscheid
Select dates and themes for the fall and spring Book Fair; work with Scholastic to order inventory, Set up and take down, publicize, collect money as people purchase their books.
Directory
Chairperson: Sunny Bane
Send out directory sign up sheet and collect names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses in order to design/publish the directory.
Room Parent Coordinators
Chairpersons: Sunny Bane (upper grades), Dolly Engen (lower grades)
Upper - Assist 4th-6th grade room parents with the coordination of school events, teacher birthdays, school policies, etc.
Lower - Assist K-3rd grade room parents with the coordination of school events, teacher birthdays, school policies, etc.
Scrip
Chairperson: Kerie Muller
Order, stock, and sell scrip, publicize the program.
Variety Show
Chairperson: Linda Berke
Audition acts, put them into show order, set up the music, and act as Master of Ceremonies. Design and print the Variety Show programs, sell tickets, and publicize the event.
Publicity
Chairperson: Deb Mendez
Publicize upcoming Parents’ Club events, decorate the display case.
